Wonder if anyone has ever got round to converting one of them with a better plow shape....?

Jon.
I have a plough from Sweet Sixteen that I am fitting to an old van.

Just got to get around to it....

That LGB snowplough of yours is damn efficient, Mike.
It has not only cleared the buildings on your layout - but also the field beyond!

Well I'd been mostly good all year..
And then...this fell into my lap..
It's no shelf queen..
But what I paid for it...
Which is a lot less than you think...
It's a restoration project..
Sold as seen... and it's not run in years

Good points
It's mostly compleat
The lights work..
The sound works
Its digical.
The flickering firebox works
It has it's case
It's not too bad really..under the paint added
And ..the price

The bad points..
It's been used..and not looked after pertically well. .it's been in a salty environment and it's been stored in a damp place...the front block dosnt work.. the rear one bearly works
Some ones Tryed glueing bits back on..and painted the black bits with a large bush

Envious! Don't know how you find these treasures - but I do like the idea of rewards for being good!

I have coveted these Garretts since they were released and would love to own one, but there again I would give my right arm to be ambidextrous. I am totally gobsmacked that any owner of one of these highly desirable, exquisitely modelled and, let's face it, expensive models, would allow it to deteriorate to the extent this one had. I am sure there are a few out there kept as 'Shelf Queens' and probably never run, indeed there was one for sale recently on Evilbay complete with glass display case. I am pleased that this example had obviously been extensively used (I hesitate to use the word 'well' used ), but I cannot believe the poor condition in which it had ended up. All power to Mike for rescuing it, it's almost like an episode of Wheeler Dealers where an old banger is restored to pristine condition.
