As I have a inbuilt dislike of being cold, the railway does not run in the first few months of the year, but this week some of the bigger locomotives are in for a pre-season check and clean. These engines have now been running on the line for some fifteen years or more now but apart from the odd loose handrail all are ready for the summer.
