Sadly I don't have a picture, but another example of a prototype for everything was my 'chairing out' from the Regular Railway Squadron in 1984 (an odd military tradition for officers leaving a unit). An MoD G-Plan armchair mounted to convey me on our PWay motor trolley, complemented by a NAAFI garden parasol and Cpl Fordham doubling up as driver and punkah wallah. Certainly entertained the locals when it ran down into Rheindahlen DB station. On the way back, it almost left the rails when it ran over a couple of amusingly placed detonators. Serious stuff, military railways.
