G'day all, thought i should introduce myself , seeing i have spent so much time reading the forums allready.

I am new to garden railways, modeled in "oo" gauge when i was a kid, probably where i developed my interest in the gwr.
Too many decades later i have just started out in gauge 1 . I have a couple of northern finescale kits of 9 ft 5 planks i am building.Once they are finished, i also bought some chassis components and wheels to have a go at scratch building some wagons, probably 1 will be a shunters truck ( i know not very useful ) , but i love the look of them and for me model railways is about having fun.I have a nice large spot in the garden and 20ft shipping container earmarked for my railway. Hope to post progress pics as i go ,should be able to start around jan/feb 2018.

I will undoubtedly have many questions and hope to keep them coherent and not on subjects asked about dozens of times before.

cheers

Welcome grizzmo - we like questions, as they often receive many different answers (with some not even related to the question! :D). Look forward to pictures - especially when we, in Northern Hemisphere, plumb the depths of winter!

Welcome Grizzmo, you'll find plenty of help here. And don't forget pictures, we love pictures, even ones of railway bits and pieces!

Hi Alan
Which display were you at? A year's time sounds about just enough time for me to get a few meters of track down , oh and get some trains, hmm should probably actually get some track too.:(. All jokes aside if i have something worth running on would be fun to have you around and run some trains and fire up the barbie and have beer or 2.

regards

I know you do things differently under there, but setting fire to children's dolls is a bit though :giggle:
