Yes, that is correct, $4.50 from a $2.00 shop. I last used this paint fifteen years ago and was unimpressed, however, of late I have revisited the brand, "Export" and the quality is much improved. I paint in a gloss finish to assist decaling, followed by a matte or satin clear coating.
Edit: I have coated several cars with the Indian Red and am quite impressed. As I also paint the car interior walls, I have to firstly upend the coach body and then paint the interior and visible exterior surfaces. When the paint has dried I then place the car supported in the normal viewing position and recoat the remainder of the car up to and including the nameboard. After the finish coat has dried I may need to recoat until satisfied with the coverage. As some paints dry they retreat from sharp edges leading to transparency in the finish and require an additional coat of paint.
When dry (possibly a week or more), the car body is masked off and the roof painted, usually black.
